Unit Leader
As a Unit Leader you are responsible for leading a unit of undergraduate ambassadors and high school students (approximately 40-50 people). You are responsible for the general safety and development, growth, and skill achievement of participants in your group.
Unit Leaders are expected to provide high quality educational and recreational experiences for program participants, and proactively identify and solve problems and areas of concern for every member of the unit.

Duration and Qualifications
Unit Leaders at Mizzou International Experience are expected to be committed 24/7 through the duration of the program (July 13 - July 28). During the program, Unit Leaders will stay in the university dormitories and will have the opportunity to accompany their unit on trips to Kansas City, Jefferson City, and St. Louis.
Unit Leaders are also required to complete online training and presential one-week Staff training prior to the program.
Unit Leaders are expected to have experience in leadership positions, have the ability to take charge and motivate others, and be friendly and energetic with a strong desire to make a positive impact on others.

EARN A STIPEND
Upon upholding contract terms, you will earn a $1,000 stipend as a 2019 Ambassador.
You will also receive a certificate of completion.

During the program, your housing, meals, and transportation will be provided.
Summer Staff will be required to stay in the university dormitory.
Photographer
As a Photographer you are responsible for taking pictures and documenting the program. You are responsible for selecting and organizing photos into folders, and selecting and editing photos for social media posts.
Unit Leaders are expected to share photos with staff, students, and school coordinators at the end of each day.

Photographers are expected to have experience with cameras and photography, preferably work with own camera, and must have experience with Photoshop or similar photo-editing program. Photographers are also expected to work on tight deadlines.

Videographer
As a videographer you are responsible for taking videos and documenting the program. You will work on the memories video that will be screened for participants at the end of the program.
Videographers are also expected to make video interviews with students and Ambassadors in the duration of the program.

Videographers are expected to have experience with cameras and videography, preferably work with own camera, and must have experience with Premiere or similar video-editing program. Videographers are also expected to work on tight deadlines.

Volunteer
Even though volunteers do not receive a stipend, they still have the opportunity to interact with International high school students, and experience MIE's unique perspective.
Volunteers will assist staff on activities, interact with students, and help with events' logistics.
Duration and Qualifications:
MIE has the duration of 2 weeks, and volunteers will attend to specific events, depending on the roles and specifications determined by staff.
Each event lasts about 2 hours.
Volunteers must be current MU students, be friendly and energetic with a strong desire to make a positive impact t on others and work well in a team setting and diverse environment.
