Mizzou K-12 Online recruits Tigers from around the world

COLUMBIA — MU High School, and its Mizzou K-12 Online program, turns international, high school-age students from around the world into Missouri Tigers. 

"We feel like we are at home," Luciana Calixto, the coordinator of Mizzou K-12 Online programs at two Brazilian schools, said about being with her students in Columbia.

A New Initiative

Mizzou K-12 Online, part of the MU College of Education and the parent program of the MU High School, brought more than 100 of its high school students from Brazil to the Mizzou campus. The program was focused on showcasing the many different career opportunities to the students, as well as showing them what all MU has to offer.

Mizzou International Experience introduces students to careers and cultures

COLUMBIA — On a summer morning, with the majority of MU students away until the fall, 136 students bustled through the halls of Memorial Union to set up presentations on their past two weeks at the Mizzou International Experience Camp.

International high school students explore careers in MU program

The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri on Wednesday had some international help in packaging pork chops.


More than 100 high school students from Brazil and five from South Korea volunteered at The Food Bank’s office and volunteer center at 2101 Vandiver Drive. The students are enrolled in the University of Missouri’s online high school program, Mizzou K-12 Online.
